Model 240 EMS Innova-Mass® (Energy Management System) Inline Multiparameter Mass Flow Meter

Sierra’s Model 240 EMS Innova-Mass has all the performance features of the Model 240.  However, The product has the added feature of a sophisticated energy management system that accurately delivers a real-time output signal of energy consumed within a facility (BTU’s or Joules) over a given time period.

The Model 240 EMS computes energy consumption by multiplying the mass flow rate times the difference in the enthalpy (in BTU/lbm or Joules/kg) of hot water/steam entering a facility (sent line) and the enthalpy of the colder/condensate water leaving the facility (return line). The “sent line” enthalpy and mass flow rate are directly measured by the Model 240 EMS, and the “return line” enthalpy (if desired) is measured using a separate, secondary RTD located in the return line.
